For Purandheswari.. Blood Is Thicker Than Politics!

BJP AP unit president and former union minister Daggubati Purandheswari is proving that blood is thicker than politics. She had been openly supporting the TDP in the state, particularly after the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu. She had extended BJP’s support to the TDP-sponsored bandh call against the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu. She did not consult any of the BJP leaders, before extending support to the bandh. She took the decision on her own. However, none of the BJP leaders have extended support to the bandh.

Later, Purandheswari was very vocal in criticizing the YSRCP led government in the state. She is making strong allegations against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government, stronger than the allegations made by the TDP leaders. The other day when she went to Delhi and met Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, she lodged a complaint with him against the liquor policy in the state. She sought CBI enquiry into the liquor sales and had even submitted a report to the union home minister.

She had been doing this with special love for her brother-in-law Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently serving remand period in Rajamahendravaram central prison. She is trying to please her brother-in-law and had been working for the TDP indirectly rather than working for the BJP. All this shows her immaturity in politics. The BJP-led government at the Centre is banking more on the YSR Congress in Rajya Sabha. Without the help of the ten YSRCP MPs in the Upper House, the BJP government could not get at least one bill passed, as BJP has no majority in the House.

While the BJP top leadership takes YSRCP as their friend outside the NDA, Purandheswari is trying to fight against the same party in State politics. This shows how immature the leader is and how she is concerned more about the TDP rather than the BJP! There are other senior leaders like Y S Chowdary, CM Ramesh and Satya Kumar, who are also working for the TDP while being members of the BJP. However, they come out occasionally, while Purandheswari’s daily business is to fight against the YSRCP government. It is to be seen how the BJP top leadership would take her work in the days to come.
