Two dead , seven fall ill after gas leak in Vizag
The city of Visakhapatnam has witnessed another gas leak accident on mid night of Monday. The workers and employees of this area have panic and recollected the gas leakage incident occurred in RR Venkatapuram on 7 May and ran out of the firm.
Any how, two workers died and seven are fall ill when a gas leacked from the Sainor Life Sciences Pharma Company at Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City (JNPC), Parawada in Visakhapatnam. Around 40 technicians were working in the company and seven are rushed to the hospital after the accident is broken out.
The deceased workers are identified as Narendra and Gowri Shankar. Two more are under critical condition. District collector V Vinay Chand, police commissioner RK Meena and other officials rushed to the pharma company immediately and are overseeing the rescue operations. The reason for the gas leakage is not known but the officials are suspecting that the incident might have taken place due to some technical issues.
CM Jagan inquired with officials
After receiving the information on this mishap, the chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has alerted the concerned officials including collector of Vizag VInay Chand, police commissioner and ordered the officials to rush to the spot and let him know what was happened there. CM directed the officials to shut down the company immediately and initiate investigation. CM further directed the officials to undertake rescue operations and provide utmost health care to the victims.
