Why Naidu and his TDP leaders are behaving this way?
We have seen several leaders in the opposition. Several parties have been in the opposition. The opposition parties have been holding protests in the country for several decades. The opposition raises major issues concerning the state and even stalls the proceedings of the legislature, depending on the severity of the issues.
Even Chandrababu Naidu, who claims to be the senior most leader in the country and have served as chief minister for 14 years and opposition leader for more than a decade. He was in the opposition in the past too. But, never ever any opposition leader or any opposition party resorted to this type of politics.
The opposition TDP and its leaders fail to recognise Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy as chief minister and it was evident from the day one after the 2019 general elections. The people of the state have given 151 MLA seats out of 175, which was a record and the TDP was given just 23 MLA seats. This itself is a clear indication in democracy that the mandate is clear for Jagan Mohan Reddy and his YSR Congress. But, shockingly neither Chandrababu Naidu nor his TDP leaders are ready to accept the victory in democracy.
The TDP and its leadership have been causing problems to the government from the day one in different forms. They have a clear support in the media through which they spread false and damaging news about the government and against the chief minister. They also have some support in the judiciary through which they try to stop the government from moving forward with its agenda to serve the people.
It is not for the first time that the TDP leadership is using abusive and derogatory comments against the political rivals. Their stoop down started when they hurled stones at Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Tirupati, before 2019 general elections. They also used abusive language at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, before the 2019 general elections, when Chandrababu Naidu held Dharma Porata Deeksha in Vijayawada. TDP leader and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna lost his senses and went to the extent of abusing the Prime Minister by stooping down to the lowest ever in politics.
The language that the TDP leaders come up with to blame the government and the kind of aggressive and provocative language is unwarranted and exhibits the increasing level of frustration in the party. The reasons for this sort of attitude in the TDP is the aging factor of its leader Chandrababu Naidu, who is in his 70s, is not able to be active in politics, except sitting in the office and speak through zoom meetings or media. His heir and son Lokesh is unable to lead the party and get acceptability among its own leaders. Not many leaders within the TDP are not ready to accept the leadership of Lokesh.
The pressure from within the party and the blank future staring ahead from outside, is said to be the reason for the TDP leaders to let loose their tongue and make abusive, derogatory and provocative statements against the ruling party. By making these provocative speeches, they want the state to witness law and order problem.
