Odisha to follow the AP system towards Corona patients
Odisha, which is labeled as successful state in terms of controlling the spreading of Corona virus is now following the path laid by the Andhrapradesh. The Chief minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik has decided to implement a financial support to the patients of Covid-19 after getting cured and discharged from the hospitals.
Naveen Patnaik, the five time Chief Minister of the Odisha state is walking in the path of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief minister of Andhrapradesh by giving Rs 2000 for all the individuals who successfully complete their stay in quarantine centers. The Odisha Government issued an order that those coming from outside will be placed in institutional quarantine or home quarantine according to the case. To encourage people to register for (institutional) quarantine an incentive of Rs 2,000 is being given to them.
The amount is credited to such inmates after 10 days directly into the account. Where as in AP, the amount is being directly handed over to the cured patients at the time of discharging from hospitals.
Apart from this, the Odisha government is also offering the wage of Rs.150 per day for the inmates who willingly do service like gardening within the premises of the quarantine center.
Anyway the AP stool as a model state interms of providing facilities in quarantaine centers and conducting tests. The AP is ahead than any other state in entire nation to conduct Covid tests. The number of tests conducted so far is crossed six lakhs. The village volunteers are playing key role in identifying the patients and new arrivals in to their areas and informing the same to concerned departments.
