Jagan lays focus on entrepreneurship development
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to prioritize on better implementation of schemes under YSR Cheyutha, YSR Aasara and YSR Bhima and promote entrepreneurship among the beneficiaries. The chief minister said the loan disbursement process for the programs being carried out under these schemes should be completed by the end of March. The chief minister has also stressed encouraging more beneficiaries to join the program by the time the second installment disbursement of the scheme is launched.
The Government had launched the first phase of the flagship program of AP-Amul dairy that began its operations on a pilot basis in 400 villages identified from Prakasam, Chittoor, and YSR Kadapa districts. The Amul teams are working closely with the Government to further expand their operations in two more districts in West Godavari and Guntur by February. Officials have said that they aim to complete filling in all the districts by March 2022.
Further reviewing the cattle distribution under Jagananna Jeeva Kranti and Jagananna paala velluva, the chief minister directed the officials that all services from cattle feed to sale should be available at RBKs. A similar approach just as the distribution of seed to sale of their final produce in the RBKs across the state. The chief minister has also approved the proposal of setting up a new toll-free number for cattle treatment. The chief minister instructed the animal husbandry department to fill up the vacant posts of veterinary surgeons across the state. The chief minister said that there is a need to improve the functioning of veterinary hospitals. He also directed the authorities to look into the possibility of geo-tagging along with the unique ID number for the cattle supplied under the scheme.
AP Government has set up 34,924 retail stores. Taking stock of the numbers, Jagan directed the officials to focus more on branding under YSR Cheyutha retail stores across the state. A study should be conducted to improve better on the steps to be taken to the implementation of retail stores across AP.
Under YSR Bhima, Jagan had advised the officials to review the Bhima insurance plan's implementation further every 15 days. The chief minister directed the officials and banks to accelerate the selection process of beneficiaries regarding the YSR Bhima scheme. Better coordination should be in place with bankers and see to it that everyone under the scheme benefits.
