Hundai, Uber combinely to launch air taxis by 2023
With in the news few years, we need notvwrry about trafic hurdles and delay in reaching the airport or railway station. Simply we can sit on drone and fly like a bird and reach our destinations. Yes, the journey in our future will be so simple as the automobile gaint Hundai and uber are joining hands to launch electric air taxis by 2023.
Hundai is in a mission to manufacture those flying machines for Uber . Hyundai will produce and deploy the air vehicles and Uber will provide airspace support services, connections to ground transportation and customer interfaces through an aerial rideshare network.
Hyundai also unveiled a new full-scale concept PAV (personal air vehicle), developed jointly with Uber, at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show 2020.
The two corporates are also collaborating on infrastructure concepts to support their take-off and landing.
The concept PAV -- S-A1 -- is an eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft designed for aerial ridesharing purposes. The S-A1 will seat five people, including the pilot, and have a cruising speed of 290 kmph, with a flying trip up to 100 km. The cruising altitude of the air vehicle will be around 1,000-2,000 feet above the ground.
