HC directs CBI to probe into postings against courts
The high court of Andhrapradesh has instructed cenbral bureau of investigation to probe in to the hate comments and posts made by some netizens against judiciary. Actually the netizens of Andhrapradesh have been commenting on high court and on its judgements as they feel that courts are biased and working to protect the interests of someone but not for the welfare of public. The netizens are using social media platforms like facebook, twitter and instagram to comment, question the high court and they are suspecting the sanctity of courts. It became more rigorous after the chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy started war with courts by lodging compliant against some judges to chief justice of India. Than its appearing that the high court of Andhrapradesh is feeling that is has lost its honor and respect in society. Finally it has ordered a probe by CBI into the alleged damaging comments made by social media activists and also some YSRCP leaders against judiciary in the state.
A division bench of the high court comprising Justice Rakesh Kumar and Justice J Uma Devi, which concluded the hearings on October 8 and reserved its judgement, announced that the case would be handed over to the CBI for an impartial inquiry.
The court felt that the investigation agency CID owned by AP government has failed to take action against those who made derogatory comments against the judiciary and also ensure that the postings on the social media are deleted. The court asked the CBI to take up the investigation, initiate the proceedings against the accused and submit the report to the high court within eight weeks. It asked the state government to extend all cooperation to the CBI in investigating the case.
