Distribution of house site pattas in AP on July 8th
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s iconic initiative of distributing house sites to 27 lakh poor people is scheduled for launch on July 8. In regard to this, the Chief Minister held a review meeting with the 13 district collectors on the distribution of Pattas and directed them to complete the final list of beneficiaries by June 7th.
During a review meeting with officials here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister has asked the officials to make sure that all eligible beneficiaries get covered under the scheme. The first phase of the beneficiaries list will be displayed at all village and ward secretariats from May 6th to 21st and people can raise objections if their name is found to be missing. After due verification, the final list shall be displayed by June 7th.
Meanwhile, addressing the officials in regard to the supply of drinking water, the Chief Minister announced that the government would accord top priority to meeting the drinking water requirements and directed the officials to clear hassles in the way. He asked the officials to map the situation and identify the municipalities with drinking water problems and focus on arid districts like Anantapur, Kadapa, Chittoor, and Prakasam. The chief Minister also told the officials to come up with viable solutions like a tie-up with private bore wells and transportation of water, besides measures to deepen existing bore wells.
In addition to these, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that three joint collectors will be appointed for each district, who will be assigned with key programmes like Nadu-Nedu, development of schools and hospitals and agriculture activities. He also reviewed the establishment of village clinics across the State and NREGA scheme. He instructed the officials to create more workdays as the migrant labour in a large number has returned to the State.
