The government of Andhrapradesh is ahead than any other state government in India intemrs of conducting Covid tests and providing well facilitated quarantine centers. Every Covid patient is being given Rs.2000 after getting cured and at the time of going home from hospitals. Even many times YS Jaganmohan Reddy stressed that we should wipe out stigma on Corona among the public. Even the government has instructed the officials to follow some norms and protocols during the cremation of dead body, which is infected with Corona. But some officials, who failed to follow the norms are being sacked by the government as the Chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy ired over the officers.
A municipal commissioner and sanitary inspector of Palasa town of Srikakulam district were placed under suspension for violation of norms during the cremation of the dead body of a woman and transporting it in a JCB vehicle to graveyard on Friday. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his anger over the inhuman act of transporting of the mortal remains of a Corona victim using a JCB excavator.
"Shocked to hear the incident of transporting dead body of COVID patient by JCB excavator is at Palasa in Srikakulam district. It is sad that some people are being inhuman at a time when they should show compassion. Serious action should be taken against those responsible so that such incidents do not happen again’ Jagan posted. Later municipal commissioner of Palasa, T Nagendra Kumar and Sanitary inspector N. Rajeev were suspended immediately after the incident came to the notice of the Chief Minister's Office, Srikakulam district Collector Nivas was directed to look into the issue and take action against those responsible.
This is an action taken by the government to instruct the officials to strictly follow the protocols of Covid-19 not even towards the patients but also towards dead bodies.
