Avalanche claims around 100 lives in POK
Sudden snow storm fall and avalanches have claimed around 100 lives in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and in Baluchistan on Thursday. As per the Pakistan media, these areas are witnessing a unbearable, tough atmospheric conditions in the past few days and even receiving heavy rain fall too.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan visited PoK to know the actual conditions and the damages occurred there. Later they have undertaken rescue, relief measures too. The Pakistan prime minister also visited the injured at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Muzaffarabad. A 12-year-old girl was found alive on Tuesday after being buried for 18 hours when an avalanche in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir engulfed the family house. Samina Bibi recalled screaming and shouting for help as she lay trapped in a room under the snow. The transportation, communication services also were affected due to rains and avalanches. The Pakistan army came into action and started undertaking rescue operations.
