1.32 Lakh would get Matsyakara Bharosa
It seems that the Chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is not in a mood to step back from his poll assurances even though the financial condition of the state is very drastic. Jagan, who assured several welfare schemes to various communities is working on the promises and delivering even this crisis emerged due to Corona. The cash bag of the state is running out of money, the income of the state which come towards taxes is totally become zero due to lockdown. No commercial taxes, no stamps and registration taxes , no transport income and even the excise income too. But Jagan has implemented the Zero interest loans to women self help groups and deposited around Rs.1400 crores in the banks. Now he is implementing another scheme to fishermen.
Fishermen in Andhra Pradesh will get financial assistance of Rs 10,000 under YSR MatsyakaraBharosa scheme on May 6.
Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the scheme to benefit fishermen during off season ban which began from April 15 to June 15 every year on marine fishing and also lack of work amid lockdown to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the state. The financial assistance of Rs 10,000 will be credited into bank accounts of 1,32,332 fishermen in the state on Wednesday. Earlier, the amount was Rs 4,000. Now, the YSRCP government has enhanced the amount to Rs 10,000 which will be credited to all sea going fishermen. Last year, on the occasion of world fisheries day, the AP government launched various schemes including YSR Matsyakara Bharosa for improving the lives of fishermen. This is a good support for the fishermen, who reached their home towns from various states like Tamilnadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka. These are the hard days for them as they can not go into sea for fishing and wont get any income. So the government support would decently help them a lot
